The American Preview - Wilfrid GABRIEL DE GLEHN 17/05/2008 - 23/05/2008 5E 57th Street, New York, New York
As fine art dealers based on Cork Street, London, we have specialised in British Impressionism for over thirty years, and have been coming to New York to take part in Art Fairs for over fifteen years. This is the first time that we have taken our own gallery space in New York and is a reflection of the growing interest being paid to those international artists whose work is entwined with the history of American painting. From Wilfrid de Glehn’s earliest work with Edwin Austin Abbey and John Singer Sargent on the Boston Library Murals to his marriage to New Yorker Jane Emmet theirs was a life spent to and from America and Europe. We are therefore particularly pleased to be previewing the exhibition in New York before opening back in London in early June.
