A painter of international renown, Wraith first studied in Florence at the invitation of Pietro Annigoni when he was barely sixteen. He has now had twenty-six solo exhibitions in Britain, Europe and the United States, and his work is in the private collections of HM The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales; as well as the collections of The National Trust, Oxford and Cambridge Universities, Eton College, and The Vatican, to name but a few. In 1995 he was elected to The Royal Society of Portrait Painters and his delicate portraits, nudes, still-lifes and landscapes glow with a soft, yet highly assured polish. This is Wraith's first solo exhibition with Messum's and the gallery is delighted to present works from such a skilled draughtsman.
